Applied Sciences
applied sciences
We are aware that the future of designing and developing lies in the complex relationship of consolidated knowledge, experience and science.
THE FUTURE OF DEVELOPMENT IS HERE
USE OF KNOWLEDGE CREATES VALUE
Seeking and applying knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world through a systematic, evidence-based methodology with a goal to create new values and opportunities throught new products, solutions and services
SCIENCE AREAS
We apply experience from across differents sectors and industries.
Applied science
Application of scientific knowledge transferred into a physical environment.
Engineering Science
Merging multidisciplinary resources to propose and develop innovative, enduring solutions and transform the latest scientific discoveries into enabling new technologies.
Bionics
Biologically inspired engineering is the application of biological methods and systems found in nature to the study and design engineering systems and modern technology.
Applied Psychology
Use of psychological methods and findings of scientific psychology to solve practical problems of human behavior.
APPLIED SCIENCES
Applied research is the practical application of science.
AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN
Applied research
Applied research is the practical application of science. Creating new avenues of research and inquiry helping businesses' operate efficiently by eliminating unnecessary costs contributing to new products and services providing data that may otherwise be unattainable
- Action Research: aids firms in identifying workable solutions to issues influencing them.
- Evaluation Research: researchers examine available data to assist clients in making wise judgements.
- Industrial Research: create new goods/services that will satisfy the demands of a target market. (Industrial development would be scaling up production of the new goods/services for mass consumption to satisfy the economic demand of the customers while maximizing the ratio of the good/service output rate to resource input rate, the ratio of good/service revenue to material & energy costs, and the good/service quality. Industrial development would be considered engineering. Industrial development would fall outside the scope of applied research.)
Engineering Science
Unique knowledge and interdisciplinary skill set of engineering science allows us to merge multidisciplinary resources to propose and develop innovative, enduring solutions and transform the latest scientific discoveries into enabling new technologies.
Bionics
Biologically inspired engineering is the application of biological methods and systems found in nature to the study and design engineering systems and modern technology.
Applied Psychology
Area of how empirical psychological findings and methods can be applied to the design of interfaces, objects, and environments. Reviewing how theories of human perception, cognition and interaction have informed human factors and ergonomics, and how attention to the psychology of individual capacities along with environmental and social factors can inform design. They will also encounter widely used lab and field research methods, including task analysis, usability testing, experimental design, and observational and self-report measures of users’ experience, cognition and affect. Throughout, critical questions about the ethical treatment of humans—both research participants in the design process and the eventual users of what is being designed—and about broader social impacts will be addressed. Prior coursework in psychology is useful but not required.
